Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using MyEstate ("Service", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by MyEstate Technology Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

MyEstate is an estate management platform that enables estate residents, administrators, and security personnel to manage visitor access, communicate within the estate, pay utility bills, and coordinate community matters. Features include visitor pass generation, token-based billing, SOS alerts, announcements, and more.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Minors may only use the Service under the supervision and account of a parent or legal guardian who is a registered resident.

4. Account Registration

Access to MyEstate is by invitation only. Your estate administrator must invite you before you can register.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@mynaijaestate.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Token System

Generating visitor passes consumes tokens. Tokens are purchased using real currency via Credo (our payment processor). Tokens have no cash value and are non-refundable once used to generate a pass.

Unused token balances may be transferred or allocated by your estate administrator at their discretion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
  • Create passes for unauthorized or fraudulent purposes
  • Share your login credentials with third parties
  • Use the SOS/alert system for non-emergency purposes
  • Upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content to any part of the platform
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
  • Collect or harvest other users' personal data

7. Payments and Billing

All payments are processed by Credo. By making a payment you agree to Credo's terms of service. We do not store card details on our servers. Transaction records are stored for audit and dispute purposes in accordance with Nigerian financial regulations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyEstate Technology Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are a software platform only. We are not a security company and are not responsible for physical security outcomes at your estate.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. Your estate administrator may also suspend or remove your access at their discretion. Upon termination, your token balance is forfeited.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes via in-app announcement.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
