MyNaijaEstate is an estate management app for residential estates, gated communities, landlords, tenants, residents and estate managers in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and other Nigerian cities. It supports gated community access control, visitor pass creation, security guard verification, SOS alerts, estate dues records, announcements, resident communication, Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages, and data export from the resident profile area.
How much does MyNaijaEstate cost?
MyNaijaEstate is free to join with no monthly estate subscription. Residents buy and consume prepaid tokens only when they create visitor invitations or use an optional token-based service. A resident with no visitor invitations pays nothing.
How does MyNaijaEstate handle safety and trust?
MyNaijaEstate keeps digital gate logs and is designed around Nigerian gate operations, uses provider-neutral payment and utility integration boundaries, links legal policy pages, supports NDPR-aware privacy language, and lets estates test the product before a full rollout.
Both serve Nigerian estates, but they are built around different centres of gravity. OurProperty NG: Property management first: tenants, leases and rent, with visitor management alongside. MyNaijaEstate: An operating system for the whole estate: gate, money, rentals, amenities and community in one estate-scoped system.
Worth saying plainly, because it may be the right answer for your estate:
Visitor pre-registration with proof slip or secret question at the gate.
Appointment scheduling and per-area access permissions for visitors.
Tenant and lease management with automated rent collection.
Where MyNaijaEstate goes further
12 of the 16 capabilities compared are documented by MyNaijaEstate and not documented by OurProperty NG:
Runs on ordinary guard phones — No turnstile, scanner or barrier purchase required to start.
Works when the network drops — The gate keeps verifying during an outage and syncs afterwards.
Resident SOS / panic alert — A resident can raise an emergency to security from the app.
Dues and service charge collection — Charges, reminders and online payment for estate dues.
Financial reporting to the committee — Collected versus outstanding, visible to the exco.
Deposit evidence and disputes — Condition evidence and a deposit dispute record.
Airtime, data and utility bills — Residents buy airtime, data, electricity or TV in the app.
Amenity and gym membership — Membership, check-in and access control for estate amenities.
Community announcements and chat — Notices and resident-to-resident communication.
The estate earns revenue — A share of platform usage flows back to the estate, not only out of it.
Optional hardware integration — Boom barriers, NFC or turnstiles can be added later.
Full audit trail — Who did what, when, reviewable after the fact.

Frequently asked
What is the difference between MyNaijaEstate and OurProperty NG?
Property management first: tenants, leases and rent, with visitor management alongside. MyNaijaEstate an operating system for the whole estate: gate, money, rentals, amenities and community in one estate-scoped system. Comparing public documentation reviewed on 2026-08-18, MyNaijaEstate documents 12 capabilities that OurProperty NG does not document publicly, while OurProperty NG documents 4 of the 16 capabilities compared.
Is MyNaijaEstate or OurProperty NG cheaper for a Nigerian estate?
MyNaijaEstate charges estates no setup fee and no compulsory subscription; residents pay small per-token costs on usage. OurProperty NG does not publish pricing on its public site, so you will need to request a quote to compare directly.
Can we switch from OurProperty NG to MyNaijaEstate?
Yes. Estates onboard by signing up and importing their unit and resident registry; guards use ordinary Android phones, so there is no hardware to replace. Run both in parallel for a gate cycle if you want to compare them on your own traffic before committing.
